High Pressure Well Coring

The NPC High Pressure Well Coring service is designed to enable safe coring of high pressure wells. This service eliminates the possibility of trapping gas at formation pressure inside the inner tube. If gas is trapped at these pressures, an uncontrolled release of the gas could occur at any time during the trip out of the hole or on the rig during the recovery process.

The NPC High Pressure Well Coring service features disposable aluminum inner tubes fitted with patented release valves at 1′ intervals down the length of the inner tube. These valves assure the controlled release of formation gas during the trip out of the hole.
